Nobody has a good time when the lights go out. The fridge starts warming up, the house gets hot or cold fast, the sump pump stops, and everyone's phone is at 12%. GeneratorBench exists to help your family get through power outages without the guesswork.

I'm Justin, and I run the site and write every review. I dig into the backup power and generators people are actually buying, figure out which ones are worth your money, and tell you plainly which one fits your house.

I started it because shopping for a generator is harder than it should be. Listings lead with peak watts, skip the fuel math, and bury things like THD, outlet types, and whether there's a CO sensor. Those are the things that decide whether a generator actually keeps your house running when the power goes out.
